The post-holder shall manage a team of two permanent advocacy staff - Media&Advocacy Officer and Rights in Crisis Advocacy Officer - as well as any temporary staff deployed to the country to meet any surge in needs / capacity gaps. The policy and campaign manager shall represent the country team to the region and Oxfam International and ensure good communication and engagement in Mali work across the Confederation. He(she) shall also ensure reinforced capacity and understanding of conflict/IHL principles within the Mali Rights in Crisis Policy & Campaign Team. The WaSH Coordinator is the primary focal point in giving key technical advice on programme development.  

As matrix manager  of all WaSH TLs in the country programme, (s)he sets guidelines and standards and is responsible for capacity building and technical support for all public health activities. (S)he will be accountable for the quality of the WaSH delivery.

The WaSH coordinator is expected to play an active coordination role with the Ministry of Water, UN agencies (principally UNICEF), INGO and other implementing partners operating in the sector.

According to needs and time available, the WaSH coordinator could also be asked to give some advice in strategy planning and technical advice for longer development WaSH programmes
