JOB PURPOSE: To provide leadership and co-ordinate the effective and efficient implementation of Oxfam's public health activities in the Mali country programme. The WaSH coordinator will be responsible for developing the WaSH humanitarian response strategy and work on new project developments (assessments, proposal writing). The WaSH Coordinator is the primary focal point in giving key technical advice on programme development.
As matrix manager of all WaSH TLs in the country programme, (s)he sets guidelines and standards and is responsible for capacity building and technical support for all public health activities. (S)he will be accountable for the quality of the WaSH delivery.
The WaSH coordinator is expected to play an active coordination role with the Ministry of Water, UN agencies (principally UNICEF), INGO and other implementing partners operating in the sector.
