Youth for Unity and Voluntary Action (YUVA) is an organisation that
has been working for human rights since 1984. It works for
marginalised communities in urban and rural areas with offices in
Mumbai. Navi Mumbai and Nagpur.
YUVA has programmes for: youth, women, children, housing rights,
governance issues. It has recently decided to initiate the HIV/AIDS
programme by integrating the issue within all of its existing programmes.
Hence YUVA requires a Programme Coordinator for the HIV/AIDS programme
which is based in Mumbai. The requirement is for a person who has
experience and understanding of the different dimensions of the
HIV/AIDS issue. The person must specifically have an understanding of
the rights-based framework for programme management.
Requirements include a masters degree in social sciences with relevant
experience. Tasks include research, documentation, all aspects of
programme management, ability to work in a diverse team on several
tasks simultaneously. Networking with various stakeholders and
designing and implementing HIV integration initiatives across
different communities like women, children and youth.
