Senior Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist
The Senior Quality Improvement (QI) Specialist will be responsible for the monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of I-TECH Mozambique’s projects, and for conceptualizing and overseeing relevant operations research projects. The Senior QI Specialist will assume primary responsibility for designing and overseeing the implementation of program evaluations that specifically aim to measure program outcomes, such as changes in quality of care that are partially or completely attributable to the work of I-TECH, or the use of competency-based curricula in the nation’s pre-service institutions that train health care workers. (S)he will also be responsible for the development and implementation of basic program evaluations (BPEs) and public health evaluations (PHEs), refine and regularly update I-TECH Mozambique’s logframe, ensure its consistency with I-TECH Mozambique’s overall strategy, and work closely with in-country Project Leads to develop sound project-specific monitoring and evaluation plans, including target setting for specific reporting periods.

The International Training and Education Center for Health (I-TECH) is a federally-funded project which supports the development of HIV/AIDS care and treatment training initiatives serving healthcare providers in 25 developing countries acutely impacted by the global AIDS epidemic. I-TECH currently supports 10 international offices and approximately 500 international and domestic staff. I-TECH is an initiative of the University of Washington schools of Medicine and Public Health & Community Medicine and it partners with the University of California, San Francisco.
